  • The  Tibet-Qinghai Plateau owns over the southwestern territory of china. Its mountains have an average of 13,500  feet. it is surrounded by the Himalayas. The air is slim and dry and very cold, snow falls even in the summer months. Two of china major rivers start here, one being one of the most polluted rivers in the world.
  • There is dry grass that is rarely found and the cows use to eat 
  • s The Taklamakan desert is one of the most dangerous places in the world. The winds blow sandstorms that go insanely fast. There is not many vegetation because trees only grow near oases
  • Legend has it that over 300 cities and 2 armies are buried 600 feet under the sand
  • The Gobi dessert has very few sand dunes, mainly because most of the dessert is stony. It is one of the biggest desserts in the world and is 500,000 square miles. Its surface is made up of tiny pebbles and tiny bits of sand.
  • In the Gobi dessert, vegetation is very rare. If there even is any plants, they are very far apart.
  • In the Northeastern plain 2 major rivers run through it, the Liao, and the Sungari. The sungari can carry big boats and the water is cold. The Laio is shallow and can only holds smaller boats. The vegetation here is is prairie grass, witch is great for farming . It is good for raising horses and sheep and cows because of the open space and large fields.
  • The plains have short warm summers, in early china, they used the rivers to get to inner china
  • The north china plain holds one of the most polluted rivers in the world, the yellow river, companies have dumped tons and tons of chemicals into the river. The north china plains contains hills that look like mountains and has plains as flat as a piece of paper. It is great for farming and keeping animals.
  • In the past 3,000 years, the Huang he has flooded over 1,500 times
  • The Chang Jiang Basins  are wet, low coastal plains. These low, wet plains are located on the Long river. The Long is is a river used to transport goods from the eastern and western areas of the region. There was very little area for farming
  • The basins were good for growing rice.
