  • Listen up! We want to continue our winning streak!
  • To do this we are going to divide and concur!
  • Later after the Confederates left, the Union moved in and found General Lee's Special Order 191.
  • This is the Confederates plan.
  • Listen up! We're going to ambush the Confederates.
  • Listen up! Special Order 191 isn't here.
  • We are going to regroup to the Antietam Creek.
  • On September 14 at a base of a south mountain near Sharpsburg the Confederate Generals encounter Union resistance. Both sides start firing at each other and a lot of blood was shed in the short time,
  • Later on September 17, 1862 Lee's army regroups at the Antietam Creek. Afterwards McCLellan (The general of the Union) attacted Lee's Left flank and that's when the bloodiest day in American History started.
  • Even though the battle ended in a stalemate Lincoln considered it the Union's victory since the confederates retreated to Virginia. This gave him the win to announce a new proclamation that says slavery in the South and in the confederate states (minus the states on the boarders) were not allowed. He issued this preliminarey Emancipation Proclamation in September 23, 1862, officially making the Civil War the moral cause of ending slavery.
