- One day a strange boat came to the island of Ghalas-at. The tribe that was on the boat was called the Aleuts. Karana and her brother Ramo were gathering roots and stopped working when they saw what they thought was a giant shell.
- CLIMAX
- No, Ramo!!!!!
- The Aleuts leader killed Karana and Ramo's father and many other people on the island of the blue dolphins, because he wanted the seals for free.
- FALLING ACTION
- Oh no, rontu my wonderful dog.
- Then another boat came to their island. However, by this time the people that came were white men. They came to take them to another island were it would be more safe. Ramo forgot his fishing spear and went back for it and got left behind. Karana had to go back for Ramo.
- RESOLUTION
- After Ramo got left behind, Karana went back for him feeling mad and sad at the same time. When she got there Ramo was surrounded by wild dogs. In the middle of the dogs was Ramo on the ground with a big scratch on him. Now Karana was the only one on the island.
- After that karana was the last one on the island so she decided build her self a house.It was pretty close to the spring, so she could get her water and not have to walk very far. Then one day Rontu died.
- One day a different ship came and told karana that the white mens ship had sunk in a great storm. on the tenth day that they were there,they sailed away.
- Come on Rontu Aru!
