  • "I killed Wellington... I'm sorry Christopher..."

  • "I felt safer in the garden because I was hidden."

  • "I went into the house and I put Toby down on the kitchen table... and I grabbed by schoolbag... I put a carton of orange juice into my bag, and a bottle of milk... and I took two more clementine's and two tins of baked beans and a packet of custard creams... I picked up his wallet and his address book..."
  • Act 1, Scene 4
  • "... I crossed and walked up to the drive to Mrs. Shears's house and knocked on the door and waited... but she didn't come to the door. So I knocked again... And then I had to work out what to do. And I did this by deciding whether they were the right decision or not... And then I thought that I could go and live with Mother because she was my family..."

  • "And then I thought I would need someone to look after Toby when I went to London because I couldn't take him with me... Then I went to Mrs. Alexander's house, which is next door to Mrs. Shears's house, and I knocked on the door."
  • Shot type: Medium Shot Camera: C Cue: The Truth Description: Father tells Christopher that he killed Mrs. Shears' Wellington. At first, Christopher thinks that this is a joke but then after his Father continues to explain, Christopher realizes that he killed Wellington. Christopher decides that he can not live with his Father anymore since this meant that his Father could kill him too.
  • Act 2, Scene 1
  • Shot type: Long Shot Camera: A Cue: Garden Description: Christopher does not trust his Father anymore. He stays in the garden all night until the next day and waits to know when it is safe to come out.
  • Act 2, Scene 2
  • Shot type: Medium Shot Camera: C Cue: Father looks Description: In the morning, father came in the garden to look for Christopher. Christopher got scared and covered himself with a fertilizer sack. Father opened the door but did not see Christopher so he went into his car and left to go look for his son. When Christopher heard his Father leave, he leaves the garden.
  • Act 2, Scene 3
  • Shot type: Medium Shot Camera: C Cue: Getting Ready to Leave Description: Christopher's trip begins with him breaking into his house to get food, his schoolbag, mother's information, father's credit card, and his pet rat Toby.
  • Shot type: Medium Shot Camera: C Cue: Christopher figures things out Description: Christopher decides to go knock on Mrs. Shears's door and live with her. After Christopher knocks, Mrs. Shears does not answer. He thinks about who else he can live with and comes to the conclusion that he can live with mother.
  • Shot type: Medium Shot Camera: C Cue: Mrs. Alexander's house Description: After Christopher decides that he is traveling to London to live with his Mother, he walks to Mrs. Alexander's to ask if she can take care of his pet rat, Toby. Mrs. Alexander asks too many questions, so Christopher runs back home.
  • Shot Type: POV Camera: B Cue: Christopher Leaves. ACTION Description: Christopher starts walking to his school to ask his teacher, Mrs. Siobhan, where the train station is until he sees his dad's car parked looking for him. Instead, he asks a stranger where the train station is located.
  • "You can see it from here... there... that building... Follow that bus"
  • Shot Type: Close Up Camera: D Cue: Christopher in Shop. ACTION Description: Christopher walks up the stairs into the train station and continues to walk into a shop to find somewhere to sit alone.
  • "... and I sat down on one of the chairs... and I closed my eyes... and I groaned to cover up the noise because I had taken my hands off my ears..."
  • Shot type: Medium shot Camera: C Cue: Policeman Questions Christopher. ACTION Description: As Christopher sits, he notices a policeman who asks if he is okay, where he lives, what he is doing, when his train is, and if he has a ticket or money. Since Christopher does not have a ticket, the policeman helps him get everything he needs for the trip.

  • Act 3, Scene 3
  • "And I was on the train to London. There were lots of people on the train, and I didn't like that, because I don't like lots of people I don't know."
  • Shot Type: POV Camera: B Cue: Buys Ticket. ACTION Description: The policeman takes Christopher to the ATM so he can get money to buy his train ticket. Christopher takes out €50.
  • Shot type: Medium Shot Camera: C Cue: Walking to Train. ACTION Description: After Christopher buys his ticket, he walks to get on the train to London.
  • Shot Type: Medium Camera: C Cue: Christopher on Train. ACTION Description: Christopher arrives on the train. There are a lot of people crowding the train which makes him uncomfortable. During beginning of the train ride, Christopher ponders about different ideas like a timetable which makes sure he doesn't get lost in time.
