Greenwood Being Rebuilt
Black Wall Street before the 1921 Race Massacre was very active and lively. This is where people of color went to get groceries and necessities to live peacefully.

On May 31st, 1921 white people began a riot on Greenwood. White people burned down and dropped bombs on houses, and took the residents out of their homes, and took their things. Many people were killed, and most of the street was burned down.
Though much of Black Wall Street was burned down, The people of Greenwood took the time to rebuild their street and obtained the required fire ordinances.
