- Hello! I'm here to tell you about the persian war.Years ago the persian wanted to take over greece so the athens and persians went to war and the had greeks won.
- The Athens and Sparta fought the Persians and they won the Battle of the Marathon.
- The Persians won the battle of Thermopylae and the Athens thought it was a success because it weekend the Persians.
- The battle of Salamis was a naval battle fought between an alliance of greek city-states under Thermopylae and the Persian Empire under King Xerxes in 480 BC which resulted in a decisive victory for outnumbered greeks.
- Decisive battle in Persian War in which the Greeks overcame the Persian invaders. In 480, the Persian King Xerxes invaded Greece, On the plain north of Plataea, the decisive battle took place and the Persians were defeated.
- Although the Persian invasion was ended by the battle of Plataea and Mycale, fighting between Greece and Persia continued for another 30 yrs. The league had mixed success, and in 449 BCE the Peace of Callias finally ended the hostilities between Athens and its allies Persia.
