Storyboard Text
- Hester is taken to the scaffold in front of the whole town for her punishment of committing adultery. As her punishment they place a red letter A in her chest which she has to wear for life.
- We realize that her husband(Robert Chillingworth) is in town and he is now a doctor in town. He goes to Hester and tells her that he will find the father of Pearl and make him pay.
- Hester goes with Pearl to visit the Governor. Hester asks him to let him keep her daughter since the people say that Pearl should be with another family.
- Hester , Pearl and Dimmesdale(Pearl's father) hold hands on the scaffold during vigil. They see a red A in the sky. Meanwhile Chillingworth is watching them and is sure that Dimmesdale is Hester's secret lover.
- Hester and Dimmesdale go to the forest and talk about how they cant go on living like this, so Hester rips the letter A off and decides to run away, all three of them. Then she puts the A back on for safety.
- The day when they were about to leave things get complicated and they realize they cant escape Chillingworth. Dimmesdale confesses in front of the town and dies of sickness. Hester leaves with Pearl.
