The 7th man
Storyboard Text
- The seventh man to speak, in a group therapy, tells the story of how he lost someone very important and has been traumatized ever since, until not so long ago.
- When he was twelve he had a friend named K and they were with the seventh man's father. There was a typhoon and once they thought it passed they went outside to the beach shore.
- The seventh man noticed that a big wave was coming but it was so ominous that he stood there shook and paralyzed but once he tried to warn K he couldn't scream, his voice was gone.
- His body ran on its own and once he was at safety above at a dyke he saw his best friend K being swallowed by the wave. He saw that K had a big grin in his face and it seemed he had the intention to drag him in.
- This tormented him for a long time and he started having nightmares so he moved away from his home and while that happened he was looking at one of K's paintings of the ocean and he remembered the innocent K he knew. He realized that his smile was not that big and that maybe he wanted to drag him in so he wouldn't be lonely.
- The seventh man returned to his hometown and saw that his house was destroyed. He went there because he heard that his dad died of cancer and he wanted to confront the beach and lose his fear, it worked.
