It was the morning of June 27th and all of the townspeople were gathered in the center of the town to celebrate the lottery. The kids were playing with stones and rocks.
Mr. Summers was in charge of the lottery, he arrived carrying the black wooden box that is used for the lottery. Mr. Graves followed him carrying the stool and it was placed in the center square.
You didn't gave him time to pick correctly!
Mrs. Hutchinson arrived a little late for the lottery, she forgot what day it was. She saw her husband and her children near the front and began to make her way through the crowd.
This isn't fair!
Mr. Summers started to say the instructions for the lottery, the man of the house had to go to the box and draw a slip of paper out of it. Then he began to call out the names.
It was Mr. Hutchinson that had the slip of paper. Mrs. Hutchinson told Mr. Summers that he didn't gave him the time to pick correctly.
Then the whole Hutchinson family opened the slips of papers to see who was the winner of the lottery. Mrs. Hutchinson was the winner. She went to the center square and screamed that it wasn't fair. At the end she was stoned to death.
