- One night a girl named Elizabeth heard a loud noise outside her home and looked out her window, she realized a group of natives were outside. They looked angry and they were trying to get her, Elizabeth had no where to run or hide so they broke into her house and took her into custody.
- Return of the Captive
- The natives put Elizabeth in one room and her niece in another. They were in very poor condition, no food since they had been taken captive, no sunlight or anything. The two just sat hopeless in two seperate rooms, in the dark and quiet for days on out. The whole time Elizabeth was in the dark room alone all she was thinking about was her niece and she said over and over "god please".
- Later that night the natives busted in Elizabeth's room and told her that she could hold her niece but only for 5 minutes and they also gave Elizabeth a cross necklace. They walked away and locked the door behind them. Elizabeth saw this as an opportunity and used the tip of her cross necklace to unlock the door and escape with her niece.
- Elizabeth and her niece Isabella escaped the native americans and Elizabeth immediately went to her home church. She got on her knees with Bella and started thanking god.
