- As the elderly lady transformed back into a spirit, the three of them stared in shock as the spirit introduced herself as the spirit of the blue bay. Due to the kindness received from them, she's willing to help them in whatever they wish for. Chiang Li-Jing explained their situation, and the spirit obliged, willing to punish them.
- Later, the robbers came upon the blue bay where the spirit transformed into a young lady. Immediately, the robbers wanted to take her as their xiaoqie. The spirit dislike how the robbers were treating her but follow them to the boat nontheless.
- Well, you're a pretty lady. Why don't you come with us? We have hanfus, gold, jewelry, money.[5]
- As the robbers tried to cross the bay, the rain started to pour, and the spirit reveal herself. All surprised, they tried to get the spirit away from them as she damaged the boat, rocking it upward and drowning them in the bay.
- Ever since Chiang Li-Jing and his twin sisters, Jiya-Ling and Mei-Ling, came back, Lanbei has respected the water spirit and have grew to appreciate the number three and fearful of the number four due to the gift and punishment bestow on them respectfully.[6] As for Chiang Li-Jing and his twin sisters, they lived a peaceful life in their village, Lanbei.
