  • Cause of the War
  • One event that cause the Civil war was Abraham Lincoln's Election.
  • Start of the War
  • One event that started the Civil War is Fort Sumter .
  • The Civil War is important because , it changed the United States forever . It also , split up the United States .
  • Union War Efforts
  • The Union wanted to gain control of the Mississippi River .
  • One event that started the Civil War is Abraham Lincoln's Election . Abraham Lincoln was a the first republican to be a president . Republican were anti-slavery and southerns was scared that he would abolish slavery. Many events, all which had something to do with slavery, were causes of the Civil War.
  • Confederacy War Efforts
  • The Confederacy burned all the Union supplies.
  • One event that started the Civil War is Fort Sumter . After ,the Southern States started succeeding , they formed a confederate . So the confederate did an attack on Fort Sumter and that started the Civil War .

  • The Union wanted to take control of the Mississippi River because the Mississippi River formed much of the Louisiana border and the Union wanted that all to thereselves .
  • The Confederacy burned all the Union supplies because since the Union came to their city , they burned everything so they didn't have no materials to use .
  • In the end of the Civil War , the Union preserved, but at the cost of massive debt and losing a lot of people. The legacy of the economy of South Louisiana is going to have to repair .
