- This worked so well because the citizens were able to choose their elected leaders.
- The Romans delegated power to representatives who would work with citizens for the common good
- Choosing representatives made the government more efficient. This lasted with the Romans for about 500 years.
- Republican government impacted the founder, James Madison, when he was helping create the american government.
- Although citizens had a say in their government, there were some flaws in it.
- James Madison had to adapt the idea of republican government to fit the U.S.
