- Every number has a square root but there sometimes not going to be a whole number.

- So now in your calculator put the square root of 49 tell my what would it be.
- Ok i got it its going to be 7.
- Now tell me why is square root of 49 is 7.
- I think its 7 because if you multiply 7 twice you'll get 49 this is a perfect square.
- If you want. but not always you can round the whole number and find the closest number.
- Right but not all square roots are going to be whole number remember that. So now do get it.
- Yes but i want to know about decimals so if you try to find the square root of 50 do you put the whole number dot then write the rest.
