- Jesus had healed the sickA great crowd of people followed him. They knew that he was the son of God.

- Then Jesus went up on a mountainsideand sat down with his disciples. He was probably tired after the long walk. He had to inform his disciples of the people coming.

- Philip wasconcerned if they would have enough bread. “It would take more than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!” He knew that they could not feed them all.
