- When Bud had breakfast with Lefty's family he thought about how this family was different from the home because in the home you could not talk while you are eating. But in this family they always talk even with food in their mouth's.
- Bud had conflict with Herman because Herman thought Bud was up to something and he was going to get to the bottom of it. Herman always ignored him and avoided him because he didn't trust the fact Bud went there claiming him to be his father.
- Bud got attacked by hornets from the shed when he busted through the window.
