Casey was sitting on the bus with her friend Violet. Violet pulled a dress out of her book-bag. Casey instantly fell in love with the dress. "Can I buy that dress from you ? I will give you $20. I love it so much" said Casey.
"Of course!" exclaimed Violet. Casey promised she would give her the money tomorrow in school as she climbed off of the bus towards her house. She quickly ran up the steps to her front door and ran to her room. When her mom barged in, she knew it was time to ask.
Her mom kindly asked how her day was. "It was goo mom," said Casey "but I have a question." "What's wrong?" said her mother lovingly. "Can I borrow $20 to pay my friend back for the dress I bought from her?" Casey begged. "No. You should have asked me before you agreed to buy the dress." said her mother assail.
Casey ran down her steps so upset she couldn't buy the dress. As she walked into the kitchen she saw $20 sticking out of her mother's purse. She quickly thought "well maybe I should take it". She ran to her mom's purse and grabbed the $20.
The next afternoon, Casey got onto the bus and handed Violet her $20. "Thank you Casey! I have your dress." As the bus pulled up to Casey's house, Casey tucked the dress into her bag.
When Casey ran up to her room and her mom was sitting on her bed. "Casey, I can not believe that you stole the $20 dollars out of my purse." yelled her mother. "I'm sorry mom. I really wanted the dress." cried Casey. "Well now you need to give the dress back and get the money back. Or you can work off what you owe me."
