- They have us surrounded, how are we going to import and export goods?
- The main leader for the Northern side was Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States and opposed the expansion of slavery. He was a well known republican from illinois.
- Advantage
- Were gonna need some help.
- Ulysses S. Grant was a military general for the Union side during the Civil War. Among some other leaders such as William T. Sherman, George Mead, and George B. McClellan.
- Advantage
- The Union used a special approach to the war. They used the Anaconda Plan. This plan slowly caused more and more problems for the South. The North used its navy to surround and guard the coasts near the Southern states, not letting them import and export goods.
- Disadvantage
- One advantage that the Union had over the South was they had double the amount of people. Most supported raising an army and the war efforts.
- Another advantage that the Union had over the South was that the Union had more transportation and railroads built, meaning easier transport of goods and soldiers.
- One and probably the only disadvantage of the Union is the unknown lands of the South, since the Union played an aggressive war.
