- In the moth saliva and teeth work together to chemically and mechanically break down food
- Highlighted part is mouth
- The chewed up food, slides down the esophagus into the stomach
- Highlighted part is the esophagus
- The mushed up food is mixed with bile from the liver and gallbladder and turns into chyme
- Chyme then enters the small intestine where nutrients are supperated. The food is eased through using peristalsis
- Highlighted parts are stomach and small intestine
- This is where fluids are squeezed out
- Highlighted part is large intestine
- The food then waits in the rectum until it is disposed of
