  • I heard that the building is made of asbestos and it is harmful to humans.
  • Guys, I am getting sick,
  • This is serious guys. I think we need to report it.
  • At the shop stewards office
  • Good Morning Ms Richards, We came here to report that we have been getting sick lately. The asbestos needs to be removed,
  • Gentlemen. I suggest that you visit the clinic and conduct chest tests, but I will take your concerns to the management.
  • Asbestos is a highly durable by dangerous minerals. In March 2008 regulations to ban asbestos came into force in South Africa. Unfortunately there is still presence of asbestos in some older model buildings and fire cabinets.

  • In this scenario, They are discussing a way forward of this situation faced by the employees. I t is no use complaining about problems to the management because shop steward workout a clear demand. Shop steward is there ti fix injustice in the workplace.
