In this scene, the Americans were having a meeting to stop the English from bringing tea to the shore. They were protesting against the high taxes from the British. This meeting is led by Samuel Adams known as the Sons of Liberty. Liberty came from all walks of life and were defending the rights, and protesting the British rule.
They have decided that they were going to dress has Indians and drop the tea into the river. They are doing this to protest the high taxes. Also, they are protesting against the strict rules and regulations that the British have over them. They are getting ready to do their plan in this scene.
The colonist disguised themselves as Indians so the British wouldn't know who they were. They went out to the British ship and climbed on board and threw all of the tea into the river. They did this to protest against high taxes and the strict rules from the British government. The American colonist were able to escape from the British without being identified.
