we are uh.. filming for the country...for the food stamps
Go tell that man we ain't a bunch of trees
Granny is upset with the camera man because he won't leave her property and didn't ask for permission
Cathy is so grown up
" Go tell that man we ain't a bunch of trees " meaning that she does not want the men taking pictures of them.
I would say the theme is don't judge a book by it's cover because the camera man saw grandma as a black African lady so he judged her by her appearance and made an assumption that she was under food stamps.
Please do not jump of the bridge
The narrator says " Cathy grown up " so she uses it as an insult
" He'd carry me through the house to my mother like I was a gift on a tray"
" His woman takin bites out of her own hand and not even knowin it, so nervous and cryin and talkin fast.
