Oedipus was walking along the road on his way to Thebes, a old man bopped him on the head with his walking stick this made Oedipus very angry, he killed all of them fortunately one man managed to escape!
Leaving Thebes
Oedipus arrived to Thebes and had to face the sphinx! Oedipus defeated the sphinx and became the ruler of Thebes and married the queen (Jocasta). They had four kids Eteocles and Polyneices, Antigone and Ismene and lived happily but not for long ...
To Mount Olympus
Jocasta killed herself and Oedipus found out the truth he had killed his father. Oedipus found out about his wife and in that panic he grabbed the Queen's hairpins and gouged out his own eyes.
Oedipus banished himself from the city and left his two sons Eteocles and Polynices to rule in his place he took with him his two daughters Antigone and Ismene a into the desert.
In his old age Oedipus was struck by a lightning bolt killing him instantly, and he was called up to Mount Olympus to be with Zeus in the gods themselves!
