Storyboard Text

  • Macbeth walks into an empty room and starts talking about King Duncan while he is just in the other room.
  • "If it were done when 'tis done, then 'twere well It were done quickly: if the assassination Could trammel up the consequence..."
  • "Here, But here, upon this bank and shoal of time We'd jump the life to come."
  • Macbeth continues to walk through the rooms of this massive home while he figures out what to do to King Duncan.
  • "Besides, this Duncan Hath borne his faculties so meek, hath been So clear in his great office, that his virtues Will plead like angels, trumpet-tongu'd, against The deep damnation of his taking-off;"
  • While planning Duncan's murder, he realizes that he has been a good king and there is no reason to harm him.
  • Lady Macbeth takes Macbeth outside away from Duncan and tells him to go through with the murder if he wants to be a man.
  • "And, to be more than what you were, you would Be so much more the man."
  • 'If we should fail?"
  • Macbeth is convinced.
  • "We fail! When Duncan is asleep. What cannot you and I perform upon The unguarded Duncan?"
  • "I am settled, and bend up Each corporal agent to the terrible feat.'
  • A couple days later...Macbeth has a vision...
  • "Is this a dagger which I see before me, The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee."
