- At 18, she had a daughter named Leila Walker and Moses died when Leila was two.
- While starting her business Madam C. J Walker married Charles J. Walker then divorced him a few years later
- In 1908 to 1910 Madam C. J walker and her daughter created a college for future hair culturist
