- hmm im not sure, should we ask?
- Mommy what is she doing?
- Excuse me who are you and what are you doing!?
- nope, what is that?
- Photosynthesis is the creation of sugar and oxygen from water, carbon dioxide, and sunlight
- Oh my! you startled me.....are you saying you don't know about photosynthesis?
- ooh I know what that is! Its Water!!
- they eat sunlight??
- haha not exactly. There is a few more things we need, we need Co2 and H2O.....Correct! Plant leaves are very important because they help us take in these necessary reactants
- its basically how plants create their food
- Take me for example, I am the chloroplast ,the basis of photosynthesis. I take sunlight and that is what plants use for energy, its called light energy
- 6CO2 + 6H2O → C6H12O6 + 6O2
- I love sugar!!
- The equation shows us that Co2 and H20 (6 each) will give us glucose and oxygen
- glucose is a simple sugar that helps plants grow! and of course oxygen is what we all use for respiration.
