Storyboard Text

  • I am Hatshepsut! I was known as the greatest female Pharaoh of Egypt!
  • I was born in 1508 B.C. and died in 1458 B.C.!
  • My father was Thutmose I and my siblings died young. In Egypt, it was commonplace for royals to marry their family, and I was no exception!
  • My step-brother/husband was too young to make smart decisions, so he crowned "regent", and I stepped in! And that's where it began!
  • I. Was. GREAT.
  • Hatshepsut was born in 1508 B.C. and died in 1458 B.C.. She is regarded as the most successful female Pharaoh of Egypt.
  • Trade was booming!!
  • Peace reined!!
  • She had some siblings but they died young, so her father, Thutmose I, to keep the bloodline going, married her mother. Then, she had a step-brother, whom she married. He was the heir.
  • But my brother grew jealous!!
  • Because her step-brother was so young, she was the person who was effectively in charge (their parents were dead).
  • So he KILLED ME!!!!
  • At least that's what we think happened!!
  • She was very successful!! She increased trade and created treaties with other nations!
  • She would not give up the throne, even after her step-brother was old enough!
  • Her step-brother supposedly killed her, for the throne, but she may have died from a blood infection!
  • Anyways, thanks for reading!
  • THE END
