  • Sauk also spelled Sac, belonged to the Algonquian language group of the North American Eastern Woodlands tribes. Suk is a group of people who have the same beliefs and culture.

  • THE SAUK TRIBE WAS A RELEIGIUS GROUP THEY BELIVED IN MOTHER EARTH GOD AND MANY MORE THINGS . THE SAUK TRIBE WAS FORMED DURING 1600. MOST OF THE SAUK PEOPLE SETTLED IN IOWA AND SOME IN ILLINOIS.

  • The Sauk tribe had many challenges some were hard some were easier than others . One of their challenges was moving because the French and Chippewa were moving them to the south.
  • Black Hawk war took place in Illinoise . the Black Hawk War started because their leaders got tricked into signing a treaty . the Black Hawk War started in 1832.
  • The war didn't even last a year the same year it started it ended. at the end the Sauk tribe got what they wanted . They moved to their old territory after the war ended.
