- So how was Crater Lake crated?
- Well, Crater Lake is well known for Mount Mazama. This geological formation created Crater Lake.
- Mount Mazama used to be a huge mountain. Which ended up caving in creating the lake.
- So how exactly did Mount Mazama create Crater Lake?
- That is insane!
- The eruption of Mount Mazama was about 7,700 years ago. It was produced by a towering column of pumice and ash. The ring-vent ended up collapsing of the mountain in the center.
