In love memory of Abraham Lincoln RIP
Punish her by hanging her!
Due to her incident, she was the 1st woman to be hanged by the federal government. She impacted the Civil War because Lincoln had a plan of punishing and teaching the South a lesson, but since he's gone, the plan didn't go as planned.
She owned a boarding house and that boarding house is where Booth devised his plot to assassinate Lincoln.
She hurt our nation because with the president gone, that must of impacted many thing. Especially the Civil War.
- Surratt's son, John Jr., was also thought to be involved, but he soon fled to Canada. - Although she claimed to be innocent, she was tried and convicted by the military commisson.
