- Camp life was very crowed and lacked resources, there are tons of diseases going around, we need bands to play us songs just too keep the morale high. There is an upside with churches, post offices, newspapers, theaters.

- Life for African Americans was difficult. They got targeted heavily by the confederates, also for their war efforts they did not get payed at all. In the union there were 200,000 blacks in the army and 30,000 in the navy, another 250,000 worked as nurses, cooks, builders, and even spies and scouts,.
- The medical treatment back during the civil war was harsh, many medicines ran out quick and soldiers were left to do surgery fully awake. They had to amputate many limbs of wounded soldiers. Chloroform was used to keep soldiers asleep during treatment, but supplies ran out very fast.

- Union Given beans, bacon, pickled beef, compressed vegetables, hardtack, hard biscuits, in the south they enjoyed corn meal swirled in bacon grease then wrapped around a ramrod and cooked over a fire. Coffee was premium drink for both armies, Southerns had substitutes such as peanuts, potatoes, and chicory. South rations were often corn bread, beef and peas, in the north weevils would often be in their coffee cups, but the soldiers did not care.

- the worst prison was in the south called Andersonville, nearly 13,000 people died there. In prisons in Georgia prisoners dug themselves holes to hide from blistering sun. The most fatal disease was dysentery and many died laying in their own cell. Conditions were horrible, many had no clothing and little protection to the heat or cold.
- , African Americans were targeted, fought in forested country. Many men had horrific injury's and had horrible battle memories. Blood was everywhere and death was everywhere.
