- Kublai Khan started the Yuan Dynasty in 1271 A.D. He conquered most of China.
- In the Yuan Dynasty, the Mongols defeated the Song Dynasty.
- Kublai Khan then became the ruler of all China . He united all of China and died 15 years later.
- The Yuan Dynasty was made up of 4 social classes, the Mongols, Chinese Foreigners, Merchants, and peasants and farmers.
- Expanded trade and agriculture, built roads and extended the grand Canal. Created post office to create better communication, and created 365 day calendar.
- In 1368, the Yuan Dynasty declined and put China into another period of chaos.
