Storyboard Description

The failed dictatorship is about the Chinese invading Vietnamese and treating them unfairly and making them do hard and unsafe tasks, so the Vietnamese fight back and they took back what was rightly theirs.

Storyboard Text

  • In this slide you can see that the Vietnamese are peaceful and happy and nothing is bothering them in their village.
  • The Chinese always referred the Vietnamese to "the pacified south" which means they weren't peaceful, but they were actually very kind and good people. In this slide you can see that the Chinese are invading the Vietnamese, this is one of the significant events during this time.
  • In this slide the Chinese forced hard labor, put them in drafts for the military, and forced them to speak their language and to leave behind art, architecture and cuisine.
  • The Vietnamese could not take it anymore so they did a series of uprisings showing their courage and strength. unfortunately they all failed over the years. Many heroes died in honor fighting back the Chinese.
  • Finally in the 15th century the Vietnamese ousted the Chinese for good. Their final act of resilience and courage brought them to victory.
  • Gracious in victory, Le Loi gave 500 boats and thousands of horses to the Chinese and ushered them home. Now their land is peaceful and happy.
