  • (1897-1901)-Born Niles, Ohio, 1843-Died 1901. William McKinley was assassinated after the United States acquired overseas territory by winning the Spanish-American War.

  • (1901-1909)-Born in New York, NY, 1858-Died 1919. Under Theodore Roosevelt the United States became a world power while new laws at home bettered American lives.
  • WOODROW WILSON
  • (1909-1913)-Born Cincinnati, Ohio, 1857-Died 1930. Taft was the only President who later served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
  • (1913-1921)-Born Blooming Grove, Ohio, 1865-Died 1924. After the Allied victory in World War I, Woodrow Wilson lost his health while trying to gain support for the League of Nations.
