- After World War 1, the economy of ltaly was poor due to the Treaty of Versailles, the trade slow doen, the taxes were increse,  and the unemployment rate also relly high.
- Mussolini found out that  this is a opportunity to take control of the Italy, so he create his own party called Fascist Party.

- Mussolini considered himself a socialist and maintain this believe until the end of his life. He only considered Fascism as a variant.
- IN October 1922, Mussolini treatened to march on Rome to take control the government by force. Fascist then seized control of local government.
- Fearing a civil war, Italy King appointed Musolini as prime minister
