Source 1 - This source tells how soldiers families had to live in the war. They did not know where there family was or even if he was alive or not. They also had the risk of there being a war right in their front yards.
Source 2 - This source tells how bad the soldiers needed clothing especially shoes. Soldiers on foot had to walk for 30-40 miles a day. Their feet became very sore very quickly with shoes that barely helped them. Shoes became needed so badly that there was misions just to get shoes.
Source 3 - This source tells about how schools had to evacuate when there was a battle that was going to happen. Families houses were destroyed in battles and they couldn't do anything about it. It also showed the joy and pride for the side that won the battle.

Source 5 - This source tells about civilians that helped the soldiers. Most of the time wounded soldiers had nowhere to go so some families took them in to help them. They cared for the soldiers until they were better. These people had a big impact on the war.
Source 6 - This source tells what the soldiers had to live on. They had very little things like clothing, equipment, food, etc. The days were boiling hot but the nights were chilly. Some became so bad they deserted.
Source 7 - This source tells about all the downtime in the war for the soldiers. Their lives were filled with boredom outside of the war, so they played games with each other. They did everything from playing cards to racing lice. They also liked to gamble and some other soldiers thought this was crazy.
