- After being forced back by advancing German troops, the allies were stranded on a beach in a port town of Dunkirk, France.
- Each day came and went, the soldiers were hungry, restless, and exhausted.
- Then came a miracle; civilians from England came in their fishing boats, along with the Royal Navy and rallied together to pick up the stranded soldiers!
- Over 338,000 troops were rescued from the Dunkirk rescue, while 68,000 did not survive the evacuation.
- The brave efforts of the people involved in the Dunkirk Evacuation ensured the British could continue fighting against Germany.
