  • In his story Harrison Bergeron, Kurt Vonnegut makes the point that while total equality is desire by most, it is not the best choice practically. Vonnegut makes sure to point out all of the flaws in society that is equal. He excellently describes how absurd and insane the idea of true equality really is by including all that must be put in place for actual equality. I believe that Vonnegut is trying to prove the point that humans want equality in terms of rights and opportunities, rather than full equality throughout every aspect of life. In a more simplified form, God made all of His children different for a reason, and He loves us the way that we are.
