  • In his short story, Vonnegut shows what he sees as the future using satire. It is shown that when equality is successful there will no longer be individuality. There will be complete order and no way to be unique. A person would be disabled because they have more sill than other. Their thoughts could be constantly disrupted because they are smarter. This story is Vonnegut's way of speaking it against everyone vying to be equal to every single thing another person may have that's better than what they have.
