- Believing in God when he exists
- This is amazing. It's so worth it!
- Disbelieving in God when he exists
- Oh no !
- Pascal explains his theory to a man who doesn't understand. Pascal goes through it by talking through all the possibilities and outcomes of his theory.
- Believing in God - but he doesn't exist
- Believing in God is the right option as nothing bad can happen to you because you are not doing a bad thing
- Pascal says that if you believe in God and he exists, you will spend the rest of your life and death in heaven for eternity. This means that if you worship him during your life, you will get rewarded by getting heaven
- Disbelieving in God - but he doesn't exist
- Oh I never knew that!
- When you don't believe in God when he does exist, you will be punished by getting an eternity in heaven. Pascal says that you only have to believe in God so you can enjoy your life after your death.
- The theory of gambling
- When you believe in God but he does not exist, nothing bad will happen to you as you still did the right thing so it doesn't really matter.
- Even though you are not believing in God, nothing much would happen because he does not exist so you cannot get punished by God either way.
- Some people might relate pascal's theory to gambling as you are risking your life for the punishment of God. Some people however might risk even if they end up being wrong - so they won't believe in God and then realise that they have been wrong ad God did exist
