  • I am Atulya Goyal. Let us discuss about human evolution from gatherer to farmer(producer)
  • During Paleolithic age, Early humans 2 million years ago obtain their food by hunting animals and by gathering the food from jungles. so they were called hunters and gatherers.
  • they depended greatly upon the local environment for forging stratergies including hunting or trapping small animals, fishing , gathering shell fish or insects and gathering wild plant food such as fruits, vegetables, tubers seeds and nuts.
  • The earliest humans used more simple technology and often scavenged for food but with more improved technology larger animals were hunted in groups,
  • The men were responsible for hunting and the women did most of the gathering.
  • there were nomadic groups .they use mobility as a survival stratergy . They move from one place to another in search of food water and to escape danger.
  • They live in caves like the one behind me, in rock formations as well as in open air settlements. the hides from animals were used as floor covering as well as fhides were also used for covering the body.
  • the early hunters and gathers used simple tools. during the stone age sharpened stones were used for cutting .controlled use of fire for cooking marked a crucial turning point in history.
  • With the beginning of neolithic revolution , when agriculture practices were first developed , some groups abondan hunter gathering prctices to establish permanent settllements for large population
  • In the neolithic age, early farmers learned how to domesticate animals. They raised sheep, goat and cattle for meat.These two developments are called agriculture . Agriculture marked the beginning of neolithic age.
  • Gradually , people discovered that they could plant seeds and harvest crops. over time farmers learned which seeds produced the most crops in the areas where they lived.
