- I'm good too. Hey i wanted to see if you would be able to help me with something.
- Sure bro, what can i help you with?
- I am planning on buying a laptop for school but i dont have enough money. Can i borrow an amount from you?
- Oh man! i would love to help you but i am not working right now. Why dont you get it on hire purchase?
- What is hire purchase?
- It is when you pay for an item in monthly installments and you get to still use the item. For example, if you get the laptop, some places will ask for a deposit and once you give it, you can take the item home. Then pay the balance in monthly payments.
- Wow! that sounds great! So once i give a deposit i can take the item home?
- Yes, but i have to warn you, it is a little expensive because if the cash price is, lets say, $2000, with hire purchase it is going to be more than that.
- Well i don't have a lot of money to purchase the laptop with cash price so i guess hire purchase will do.
- Okay bro, lets go take a look at the store down the road and see.
