- This is Person vs. Society because Diana and many other girls are protesting against a corporation of working rights. This shows that there are many people fighting against lage social forces like the corporation.
- This is Person vs. Nature because in this scene, Lyddie is shown shocked by a bear inside her mountain cabin. Lyddie is represents the Person, while the bear is Nature.
- This is Person vs. Person because Lyddie is fighting with Amelia and Betsy over whether she should go to Diana's cabin, because Lyddie might get drawn into the society Diana is in, the Female Labor Reform Association, and get in trouble for protesting the hours they work at the mill.
