- Alfred Jodl, who was the German chief of the operations staff of the Armed Forces High Command, signed an unconditional "Act of Military Surrender" because of differing ideologies, the legacy from WWI, andarguments between the Soviet Union and its allies. This all happened after the Soviets and Allied forces neared Hitlers bunker where he inevitably committed suicide, leaving Germany leaderless and tired.
- After a long feud going all the way back to 1917, the Soviet Union and United Stated agreed to forge an alliance to stop Germany during WWII
- The Manhattan Project was he creation and usage of atomic bombs on two different major Japanese cities. It happened because the USA feared the war would never end so they made and used Atomic bombs to finally end WWII
