Storyboard Text
Dude, listen to what I learned in my business class about the four types of human resources activities!
There is also performance management, which includes jobs like performance assessment, performance improvement, and more!
There's planning and staffing, which include jobs like job analysis, recruitment, and job placement.
Lastly, there's employee relations, which includes health and safety planning, labor relations, and organizational developments!
There's also benefits or compensation, which has to do with wages and salary planning, benefits planning, payroll, and more.
What's the difference between salary/wages and benefits?
This also includes commission (pay based on a percentage of what employees sell) and piece rate (pay of a specific amount for each unit produced).
Salary or wages are direct payments of money to employees for work (pay for hours worked or payment of a specific amount of money)
Benefits are compensation in forms other than direct payment, such as employer paid or provided insurance!
Wow, I think I understand now. Thanks!
