hi my name is daniel, today i will be talking about how a bill becomes a law!
All bills start out as an idea from concerned citizens, other congressmen, the president, or special interest group.
A bill sponsors the idea and turns it into writing.
The bill is then introduced into the house of representatives or the senate.
The whole House then discuss and must vote on the bill.
during the voting on the bill, Committees can either pass the vote, on the bill, revise it, or research the bill.
After being introduced in the House, the bill goes to committees. Who are experts on the topic. If the Senate makes any changes to the bill, it goes back to the H.O.R. for approval.
If both houses pass the bill, it then goes to the president. Then In order to override the president’s veto, Congress needs 2 /3 vote of both houses. 1.veto2.signpocket 3. veto
The President has three choices when dealing with a bill sent from congress…
Thanks for letting me have your time to talk to you about this!
