- Biology is the study of life, including living organisms and their interaction, physiology, morphology, function, development, and more, which provided breakthroughs in the field of science that our society and economy benefit from.
- Yes. Biologists immerse themselves vigorously into scientific studies and trials to develop GMOs that address global concerns, such as scarcity, hunger, inefficient nutrition, resources depletion, and environmental issues.
- As you can see, me and my fellow Biologists and Biochemists developed genetic modification of organisms (GMOs), such as animals and plants to introduce a new trait for them to resist diseases and pest, cure diseases, boost global food security, improve nutritional value of food, and increase global food production.
- Now, let's go and meet our farmers and manufacturing workers!
- Genetically modifying organisms undergoes the process of inserting a new DNA into the organism's genome to exhibit a new trait.
- I am so happy that we are producing high-quality crops at such a fast rate.
- I know! Thanks to agriculture biotechnology developed by biologists, our crops are disease and pest-resistant. We produce more crops and agricultural products, which increases our income.

- Here we see that the desire to boost food production led biologists to develop agriculture biotechnology and GMOs to increase crop yield; thus, increasing the farmers' profit. Moreover, biology creates a bio-economy, where the main production components used are biological and renewable resources. Biology enables raw materials from biological resources to be converted into something usable and consumable for people through bio-chemical, mechanical, and thermo-chemical methods. This constitutes to an increase in a country's gross domestic products as more workers are provided jobs to produce goods and services.

- Biology pioneered many scientific innovations on medicine to discover drugs, vaccines and treatments to cure and be protected with diseases. For instance, biotechnology allowed scientists to sequence the COVID-19 virus' genome within weeks to develop a vaccine. As a result, biological innovations are decreasing mortality rate; therefore ensuring productivity and possibly lengthens life expectancy. This two are vital for economic growth because healthy and working people provide many inputs for economic development.
