Storyboard Text

  • The narrator is introduced to the story. The narrator wants to convince the reader that he is sane and not insane. Even though the narrator killed a man he is living with he still wants to prove that he is not mad.
  • Conflict
  • The narrator is living with an old man who has an eye that the narrator calls an Evil Eye. The narrator compares the Evil Eye with an eye of a vulture. The old man does not know that the narrator hates his eye.
  • Falling Action
  • Over the next 8 days, the narrator is planning on killing the old man. In those eight days the narrator quietly goes in the old man's room ad spys on him to see if his eye is open. The narrator wants to get rid of the Evil eye.
  • Resolution
  • One night the narrator went into the room and the old man's Evil eye was open, so the narrator decided to flip the man on the floor to suffocate him. Before he flipped him onto the ground the old man let out on screech. After the narrator killed the old man he cut the body up and put it under the floor.
  • Because of a neighbor, the police arrived at the house where the narrator is because the neighbor heard a loud screech. The narrator lets the police in the house and the police asked the narrator what was the screech. The narrator told the police that it was his own screech from a bad dream.
  • The story ends with the narrator confessing to killing the old man because he thinks he can hear the old man's heart beating. The narrator also yells out Villains dissemble no more because he think the police are making fun of him.
