- Off to Mars we go!
- HI! I'm Jonny, and welcome to our trip to Mars!
- I'm Ryan! I am so exited to go to Mars! We will also learn all about acceleration and constant speed on the way!
- Welcome to our rocket ship!!!!!!
- Ryan, I am getting word that we are currently increasing speed! Does this mean we are accelerating?
- Yes Jonny, we are increasing speed and going towards Mars, meaning we are accelerating! Speed happens when our rocket ship is moving a certain distance divided by the time we move this distance. This is so fun!
- Jonny, I just realized that nobody is flying the rocket! Lets go back to the cockpit.
- Once we get into the stratosphere, we will be in space! This means that we will be moving towards Mars at a constant speed! But until then, we are at a increasing speed towards space!
- Ryan, we are about to hit the stratosphere! Prepare for low gravity and a constant speed!
- This constant speed means that we are no longer accelerating because we are moving one direction and not changing speed, which would happen if we were accelerating!
