- Sarah's friends have been really mean to her and decided they do not want to be friends with her anymore. She feels like her life is falling apart and she has so many problems

- When Sarah went to bed that night she had a dream that she was drowning

- This is Freud's theory of dreams. His theory says that our dreams are the way to reach our unconscious goals, and we have a censor that protects us of threatening thoughts. Sarah's drowning represents how she thinks nothing goes right in her life and she is 'drowning' in problems

- Jimmy was nervous about his project that he has to present in front of the whole class tomorrow.
- That night jimmy had a dream that he presented in front of his whole class and messed up. It was a nightmare.
- The extensions of waking life is a theory that says dreams are extensions of waking life, meaning our dreams reflect the same fears, thoughts, emotions, and problems that we experience in our day to day life while we are awake.
